Military aid to Ukraine by country: what was delivered by August 2026

Each country's own military aid to Ukraine from 2022 to August 2026, as the site counts it in its support for Ukraine: weapons at their market value, counted when delivered, with the UK's loan repaid from Russia's immobilised assets left out. Beside it, the Kiel Institute's military figure (allocations), the share of GDP and the amount per person.

From Kiel's figure to the map's

Kiel's figure counts allocations: aid delivered or contracted, at the donors' own values. The map counts what was delivered by August 2026, at market value. The steps, for the donors with a Kiel military figure of €1bn or more and for every donor together:

ERA loan: the G7's loans to Ukraine repaid from the proceeds of Russia's immobilised assets; the UK's is in Kiel's military figure and is left out here. Market value: what the equipment would fetch, not the donor's own value. Not yet delivered: allocated but not delivered by August 2026, from a modelled delivery time. Undisclosed: an estimate of aid that Kiel does not record.

Questions

Which country gave the most military aid to Ukraine?

By the site's figure (delivered by August 2026, at market value) the table starts with the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom: the United States €47.4bn. By the Kiel Institute's allocations, the United States with €64.6bn. As a share of GDP, among economies of €5bn or more, the list starts with Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania (Denmark: 2.1%).

Why is War Balance's military figure lower than Kiel's?

It counts military aid when it is delivered, not when it is allocated: €28.1bn of the aid Kiel records was not yet delivered by August 2026. It values donated weapons at what they would fetch on the market, not at the donors' own values: €24.7bn less in all. The United Kingdom's ERA loan (€2.7bn), which Russia's immobilised assets repay, is in Kiel's military figure and left out here. It adds an estimate of undisclosed aid that Kiel does not record (€3.1bn, for 4 donors). Across every donor: Kiel €177bn, the site €125bn.

Is military aid all of a country's support for Ukraine?

No. The site's support for Ukraine, €348bn for every country together, adds to military aid (€125bn) financial aid (€44bn), humanitarian aid (€23.6bn), the cost of hosting refugees (€104bn), each member's share of EU aid (€50.6bn) and private donations, minus money flowing back to the donors' own economies.
